Buildings, Places

Many places should have their own pages too...
The Barn. the Long House, the Edge Of The World, Lone Oak Hill, the Big House at Struggle, the gardens, water tanks, the bay tree spring, showers, the serpentine mine, the blue mud, so many great places...
Each place could have a photo or two, and a short description, linked to its page.
The Barn Page, for example, would have photos and a list of people who have a story about the Barn (don't we all?).
Each persons name will take you to the Barn story on that person's page (see the concept on the Beginnings page - just use the place name instead of the word beginnings... like [[#barn]]
If it gets too cumbersome and slow to load, we can break it up into areas... Frontlands, The Ridge, and so on.

THE BARN - lots of great photos of the barn can be found on The Barn page. (This page was getting too cumbersome and slow to load - Mark)

BACKLAND HOUSES --- photos of some of our Backland houses can be found on this page.

THE BACKLANDS

Our teepee, my Sister Starr, and my nephew Illya Jon, and I, lived in that
beautiful grove of Bay trees. We hiked up the hill every day, by the that
giant Oak tree, went to school, went to work, loved life, growing up, loved
breakfast together to get us on our way, going up the side of that
hill....and so nice to go home to after we did all we were "supposed" to do.
We re-kindled the fire, made our sustenance over our teepee fire,
acknowledged our life and love to be together, and looked forward to
tomorrow...........up the hill ...........

Here is Jody watering the Backland Garden after it was well underway one summer afternoon. All that burgeoning life around him, no wonder he looks ecstatic.
(I have many more pics of the garden as the ground was being prepared and as it was growing that I plan to include as soon as I can.—Michael)

Sitting Round The Fire

In the early days, there was usually an evening fire at Cookshack Meadow.

Folks gathered to eat, smoke, and just hang out and gab (we did that a lot <grin>)
